Mr Steven Key qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Cardiff Dental Hospital in 1986 and pursued a hospital career in oral surgery before qualifying in Medicine at University Hospital of Wales in 1997.

Following his extensive Oral and Maxillofacial training on both the South London and South Wales training programmes, Mr Key then completed prestigious fellowships in Craniofacial Surgery at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and in Aesthetic Surgery at Wellington Hospital in London. He was appointed as a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Morriston Hospital, Swansea in 2007 and has since specialised in facial deformity, reconstructive surgery, trauma care, surgical dermatology and facial aesthetics.

He was Regional Maxillofacial Speciality Professional Advisor for Wales from 2018 to 2023 and led the OMFS Department as Clinical Lead from 2019 to 2024.

Over the last 40 years he has gained extensive experience in minor oral surgery and adopts a patient-centred approach His long-standing relationship with multiple primary and intermediate care practices, since 1986, have solidified his expertise in the field of oral and dento-alveolar surgery.
